EcoAgriculture Partners is a non-profit organization that works internationally to facilitate sustainable food production, rural livelihoods, and environmental conservation globally ( The organization does so by developing and promoting integrative approaches to rural landscape management, by engaging in regional and global policy processes, and by supporting the work of our diverse grassroots and international partners.

A centerpiece of EcoAgriculture’s work is to facilitate and co-lead the Landscapes for People, Food, and Nature Initiative (LPFN)—a collaborative effort with more than 60 partner organizations to advance and scale-up integrated, multi-stakeholder agricultural landscape approaches worldwide. The Initiative develops and communicates the evidence base for such approaches, fosters cross-sectoral dialogue, and implements a global collaborative action agenda. See

EcoAgriculture seeks a part-time summer intern to join our committed team in our Washington, D.C. headquarters from May/June through August/September. The intern will work primarily on resource mobilization activities for EcoAgriculture Partners and the LPFN. This position is offered as 20 – 30 hours per week as mutually agreeable by EcoAgriculture and the applicant.

The Development and Fundraising Intern will assist the Development Manager of EcoAgriculture to:

  • Identify and research prospective donors;
  • Develop and help to implement a donor communication plan;
  • Analyze EcoAgriculture’s fundraising effectiveness, including donor retention, growth in giving, growth in donors, etc.;
  • Prepare correspondence to funders; 
  • Organize fundraising materials;
  • Undertake other tasks as needed.

Required skills and experience:

  • Recent graduate with degree in non-profit management, communications, environmental studies, international development or related field, or currently enrolled in a related program and completed relevant coursework; Interest or background in agriculture, sustainable development, and/or environmental sciences desired;
  • Organized, motivated, and flexible individual interested in learning about fundraising and building support for issues such as conservation and the environment;
  • Experience working with databases and applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.;
  • Excellent writing and communications skills;
  • Strong internet research skills;
  • Legally allowed to work in the U.S.

A small stipend may be available; funds to cover travel and lunch expenses will be provided.
